ASG Airsoft MGL – Simulating the adrenaline rush |
For those enthusiasts who would like to get their hands on a less lethal (and lawful for civilians) version of a MGL, Action Sport Games has released a Milkor MGL Airsoft. These remarkably detailed weapons are available in desert and black, and are invaluable additions to any Milkor fan’s collection. Although Airsoft can be used for recreational purposes, more and more organizations are making use of Airsoft to simulate the effects and conditions of real combat situations, thereby preparing troops as best as possible.

Gyro MGL Mount Testing |
After the positive responses and enquires at AAD 2012, Milkor proceeded with live fire tests on the Gyrocopter MGL mount. The Milkor 40 mm belt-fed weapon prototype was mounted onto the side of a Xenon gyrocopter from Wagtail Military. All tests were executed with ease with the recoil from the MGL being hardly noticeable and in no way affecting the Gyrocopter's handling.

Milkor would like to thank all those who visited our exhibit at the 2012 AAD (Africa Aerospace and Defence) exhibition held at Waterkloof Airforce Base, Tshwane, South Africa on the 19th to the 23rd September. AAD is known as the largest exhibition of air, sea and land capabilities on the African continent, and was a tremendous suscess for Milkor, with numerous partnerships and conceptual breakthroughs being established.

On display was the Milkor 40 mm belt-fed weapon prototype, mounted on to the side of the Xenon gyrocopter from Wagtail Military. A Denel Vektor SS-77 accompanied the Milkor 40 mm on the other side of the Xenon gyrocopter, creating a formidable, yet highly manoeuvrable system. This combination is ideal for anti-poaching, border patrol and anti-riot applications.
